Distributed Mail Engine

The mail engine receives SMTP traffic, recursively dives into MIME structures and extracts the content and recipient of the message, then applies the business logic.
This layer is responsible for authentication - using SMTP headers to determine if the sender is a genuine user.
It needs to handle any shape of email - badly structured, oddly encoded, non-ASCII emails are expected to arrive without complaint.
